Tat-Tutor is a personal project of mine that sprung from my personal aspiration to expand my vocabulary. The idea sprang from my days as a waitress, where I would write vocabulary words on my arms and hands, hoping to absorb knowledge effortlessly throughout my day. As a waitress, you’re constantly doing things with your hands, whether you’re grabbing drinks, delivering food, or washing them, so there were ample opportunities for me to learn on the fly. The only problem was: I–eventually– got sick of writing things down on my arms and decided to pocket the idea, saving it for future use when I would have the money and time to create a more efficient solution to my problem. It wasn’t until I needed a branding project in university that I revisited Tat-Tutor and created my first prototype to test! And…it worked! Although I only tested one word, “reticent,” on my arm, I can vividly recall its exact definition word-for-word, which gives me hope for the success rate and future of Tat-Tutor!
