Tempo Tantrums is Lafayette's first and only improv troupe dedicated solely to the art of short form & long form musical improv. I took a literal approach to the logo, envisioning what a "musical tantrum" would look like. I immediately thought of the hard-metal bands of the 70s and 80s. I expanded the "M" in "Tempo" to resemble an audio wave and gave the the rest of the logo a metallic gradient to carry home the "hard-metal band" concept.
